How the trainer works

Every decision is checked against basic strategy for these house rules (6 decks, dealer stands on soft 17, double after split, late surrender).
Each optimal decision adds 1 to your score. A mistake resets your score to 0.
Show best move opens a basic strategy chart with your hand highlighted, and marks the right button. It resets your score to 0, and that decision isn't scored.
If the best play isn't available (for example, you can't afford to double), the next-best play counts as correct.
Basic strategy always declines insurance and even money.
Accuracy counts every scored decision. Your best score and accuracy are saved in this browser.

House rules

Get closer to 21 than the dealer without going over. Face cards count 10, aces count 1 or 11.
A two-card 21 (Blackjack) pays 3:2. Other wins pay 1:1. Ties push and your bet is returned.
The dealer draws to 16 and stands on all 17s, including soft 17.
If the dealer shows an ace or a ten, they check for Blackjack before you act. If they have it, the hand ends right away.
Insurance: offered when the dealer shows an ace. It costs half your bet and pays 2:1 if the dealer has Blackjack. If you hold Blackjack, it's offered as even money, a guaranteed 1:1 payout.
Double: on any first two cards (including after a split). Your bet doubles and you get exactly one more card.
Split: any two cards of equal value, up to 4 hands. Split aces get one card each and can't be re-split. A 21 after a split pays 1:1, not 3:2.
Surrender: on your first two cards (not after a split), give up the hand and get half your bet back.
The shoe is reshuffled once fewer than 25% of the cards remain.
